Mudajaya Corp bags RM1.33b project from Lebuhraya Borneo Utara

Kuala Lumpur: A unit of Mudajaya Group Bhd, Mudajaya Corporation Bhd, has secured a project from Lebuhraya Borneo Utara Sdn Bhd to undertake the development and upgrading of the proposed Pan Borneo Highway in Sarawak for RM1.33 billion. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the civil engineering and building construction service provider said the development and upgrading works was for phase one of the highway, works package contract for Sungai Kua Bridge to Sungai Arip Bridge. "The contract will be undertaken by Mudajaya Corp together with Musyati Sdn Bhd under the name of 'Musyati Sdn Bhd - Mudajaya Corp Bhd Joint Venture' on the basis of 70 per cent: 30 per cent.

"It is targeted for completion by Oct 2020 with a construction period of 48 months from the date of the site possession," it said, adding that the contract was expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending 2016 onwards. – Bernama
