Naim-Gamuda JV gets RM1.57b Pan Borneo deal

Kuala Lumpur: Naim Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned unit, Naim Engineering Sdn Bhd (NESB), via its unincorporated joint-venture, Naim Engineering Sdn Bhd–Gamuda Bhd JV (Naim-Gamuda JV), has secured a RM1.57 billion Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak contract.Naim Holdings said the contract, from Lebuhraya Borneo Utara Sdn Bhd, was for the development and upgrading of the proposed Pan Borneo Highway in Sarawak – Phase 1 to undertake the worksk package-WPC-04 (Pantu Junction to Batang Skrang)."The duration of the contract is 51 months from the date of site possession," it said, it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia Thursday.

It said the contract was expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group.Naim-Gamuda JV is 70 per cent owned by NESB and 30 per cent by Gamuda Bhd. – Bernama
