Upko expects 10,000 for 'Larian Pisompuruan'

Penampang: Upko invited the public to join in their 10km run dubbed "Larian Pisompuruan 2016" on Sept 18 at the Likas Sports Complex.Organising chairman Datuk Wong Thien Fook and Community Development Officer William Sampil when handing over participation forms to JKKK chairmen and community leaders at Upko headquarters Friday said the objectives of the run is to commemorate the formation of Malaysia and to promote healthy lifestyle.

It is open to all, irrespective of age and there will be four categories – Men and Women Open 18 to 44 years old, Veterans 45 years and above, Juniors 17 years and below and VVIP.A pack of goodies awaits participants, including a finisher's medal to those who completes the run, irrespective of the time taken. Attractive lucky draw prizes awaits participants and the organisers is targeting 10,000 runners.Wong said exhibition booths will also be set up to promote traditional food, science exhibition and historical photographs from the State Library, Archives and Museum.
