Martial arts grandmaster on attributes for success

Kota Kinabalu: Patriotism, filial piety and respect for the aged are attributes for success, according to martial arts grandmaster Lee Jianli from China.The multiple international award winning martial arts instructor emphasised that a man without respect for the aged will never succeed."Sabah Chinese have been doing good work on inheriting and promoting Chinese cultures and moral values," he said during a courtesy call on Sabah Publishing House Managing Director Datuk Clement Yeh, in Kota Kinabalu.

He said contributions of leaders like Yeh, who is a prominent player in the media business and chairman of a Chinese independent school, deserve credit.Lee, who is the founder of JL Wushu Centre, has won a number of awards from various international martial art events, besides being invited to perform in the US, Canada and Japan, and has also been involved in several Chinese films and TV drama.
