Johor Sultan gives private jet to JDT

Johor: The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar has given his private jet to Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club (JDT) for use by its officials and players.News of the decision involving the Gulfstream G550 aircraft was announced by JDT via its official Facebook page, Johor Southern Tigers Tuesday."The aircraft will be handed over to JDT in the middle of 2017. With this, JDT becomes the first club in the country to have its own aircraft. Earlier this year, he gave 28 hectares of state land in Iskandar Puteri to JDT for the construction of Bandar Sukan Johor Darul Ta'zim which will have a range of facilities including a hotel, apartment blocks and shopping mall.The ruler also provided funds to JDT to finance the construction of a new stadium in recognition of JDT's AFC Cup win in October 2015. – Bernama
