Kudat: Minister of Special Tasks Datuk Teo Chee Kang has urged young people not to be choosy when looking for jobs to reduce our State's dependency on foreign workers. He said many job advertisements went unanswered because young job seekers were too choosy about work choices. "If our local youths refuse to change their attitude and remain overly picky when seeking employment, we will not be able to reduce the number of foreign workers in Sabah."ADVERTISEMENT Teo, who is also Tanjong Kapor assemblyman, said that when officiating at the district-level job carnival organised by the Sabah Labour Department at Dewan Tun Mustapha on Tuesday. He said the event could reduce unemployment rate and dependency on foreign labour in State, as well as provided employment opportunities for disabled people. At the same time, Teo advised employers to register their vacancies with the relevant authority to make it easier for locals to search for jobs. A total of 26 private companies, 10 government agencies and four training institutes took part in the job carnival in Kudat.
