Kota Kinabalu: A depleted Sabah Rhinos side are hoping to snatch at least a point against Melaka United in the Premier League match tonight (Tuesday) at the Hang Jebat Stadium.Head coach Johnny Dominics said as underdogs, the team may spring a surprise against the table topping team.

"We are up against a very good team. Melaka are the most consistent team since the start of the season.

They lost only once this season but I believe if our players can treat the match as a final we can turn the tables on them.

"Our players are ready for the task ahead and they must play as a unit and work for each other.

They need to maintain their momentum and winning mentality, and if we can steal all three points it will be a bonus to our fans."

However, he understood that the task is made more difficult with the absence of imports Muamer Salibasic and Everton Souza Santos who did not travel with the team.

"Unfortunately, Muamer is not with us due to a hamstring injury and Everton is also staying back to sit out his one-match suspension.

"So Leopold Alfonso and Stuart Wark will start the match for us tomorrow night and I call on all the Rhinos fans in the area to come and give their support to the team."

Sabah are currently in ninth position in the table standing with 18 points from 17 matches with five wins, three draws and nine losses while their opponents tonight are top of the table with 42 points with 13 wins, three draws and one loss.
