Kota Kinabalu: Talk that DAP's Kapayan Assemblyman will ditch the party in favour of a Barisan Nasional component next month due to irreconcilable differences with the party's leadership is making the rounds again, despite his earlier denials. According to a source, Dr Edwin Bosi will be joined by the entire committee of one of DAP Sabah's divisions with several party members expected to follow suit. The rumour has it that they would be joining a local-based party, having met the president of the local party on at least two occasions.

Since the 13th General Election, four assemblymen have left their respective parties namely Luyang Assemblyman Hiew King Cheu who had since joined MCA Sabah from DAP, Matunggong Assemblyman Datuk Jelani Hamdan who was a former Sabah PKR Vice-Chairman, Kadamaian Assemblyman Jeremy Malajad who became a BN-friendly Assemblyman and most recently, Sulabayan Assemblyman Datuk Jaujan Sambakong, who quit Umno to become an independent assemblyman.

Bosi, the former DAP Sabah Secretary, conceded that there are internal issues in DAP Sabah.

It was believed that Dr Bosi is unhappy with the party's "unfair treatment of members from the native community".
