Held: Dad who molested and raped daughter

Ranau: Police in the district have arrested a man believed to have molested and raped his own daughter in their home, near here, recently.The unemployed local suspect aged 43 was arrested at his home in Kg Bongkud Ranau, at about 4.45pm on Monday, by a team led by Insp Ahmad Fathie Mohd Salleh and Insp Hafiez Ramlan during Ops Pintu/Kesan.A police report was lodged by his daughter aged 16 on Monday stating the her biological father molested and raped her about two weeks ago.

Ranau police chief DSP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, who confirmed the case said it was being investigated under Section 376 (3) of the Penal Code.He said at about 8.30pm in their home in Kg Bongkud Ranau on Aug 10, the suspect gave the victim several pills that caused her to feel dizzy.The suspect who sent the victim who is the eldest of six and other younger siblings to bed brought her to his bedroom where he laid her down before undressing, molesting and raping her.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The suspect was remanded for seven days before Assistant District Officer, Bernard Kimin sitting Second Class Magistrate in his office on Tuesday.
