Tenom: Three classrooms in the new blocks of SMJK Chung Hwa have been named after three local politicians namely Datuk Radin Malleh, Datuk Rubin Balang and Datuk Raime Unggi.According to the school's Board of Trustees chairman Ng Tet Hau, the decision to name the classrooms after them was to repay their effort in lobbying for funds for the construction of the new blocks.

"The Board decided to name the classrooms as "classroom Datuk Radin", "classroom Datuk Rubin" and classroom Datuk Raime" because they helped us to lobby for RM2 million from the Federal Government to finance the construction," he said.

He announced that the two new school blocks, which cost in total of RM3.7 million, will be officiated by Liberal Democratic Party President Datuk Teo Chee Kang who will be in the district this weekend for a combined delegates meeting involving three party divisions, Tanbunan, Liawan and Melalap.

In relation to the meeting, Ng, who is the organising chairman cum Tenom LDP division chief, said Melalap will not be forwarding any motion except to declare its readiness to face an early general election.

The meeting is scheduled to be held at Hotel Perkasa at 2pm and will be officiated by LDP secretary general Datuk Yong Wui Chung.
