Maxis' units receive MCMC offers

Kuala Lumpur: Maxis Bhd's relevant wholly-owned units have received offers from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for the assignment of 2x10 of 900 megahertz (MHz) and 2x20 of 1800MHz for a sum of RM816.75 million.In a filing to Bursa Malaysia Tuesday, Maxis said, the amount was for full settlement upon the acceptance of the offers or higher amounts upon staggered payment options.Maxis added that the total spectrum maintenance fees were fixed at RM70.25 million per annum for the entire assignment period.
