Max: PBS will defend seats traditionally allocated to us

Kota Belud: Parti Bersatu Sabah will defend all state seats traditionally allocated to the party in the 14th general elections.Its Deputy President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili in disclosing this Tuesday said this would include Kadamaian, which PBS lost to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).Speaking at the launching of the PBS Kadamaian Annual General Meeting, here, Ongkili urged all party members, both branches and division levels, to strengthen their machinery and prepare for the coming election.ADVERTISEMENT "Start early. We need to win the people's trust and hearts to recapture the Kadamaian seat," said the Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister, who was recently delegated the task of carrying the duties of the President.In making the call, he also stressed the importance of unity and solidarity among PBS members at all levels to ensure victory for the BN in Kadamaian, which falls under the Kota Belud parliamentary constituency. In the 13th general election, PKR's Jeremy Malajad won the Kadamaian state seat with a 889-vote majority in a four-cornered contest, including PBS' candidate, Datuk Herbert Timbun Lagadan.Later, Malajad resigned from PKR and joined Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah.
