27-year-old charged with killing 3 family members

Melaka: An unemployed man was charged in the Magistrate's Court here Wednesday with the murder of three family members last month.Luqman Hadi Mustapa, 27, nodded after the charges were read out to him before Magistrate Norina Maludin, but no plea was recorded.The man was charged with murdering Hassan A. Wahab, 70; Mariah Baharim, 60; and Muhammad Taufeq Hassan, 21, at a house in Jalan Sidang Said, KM7.2 Bertam Malim here between 5.50 am and 6.15 am last Aug 25.

The charges, made under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carry the death sentence upon conviction.He was also charged with two counts of attempted murder on Noor Haslinda Diyana Hassan, 25; and Nur Aqedah Aeina Hassan, 24, at the same place, time and date.The charge, under Section 307 of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment for life or for 20 years.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
