He claimed four students, including two seniors, took turns to beat him up in the dorm.

The incident was witnessed by a few other students, he said, but added that they were afraid to help him.

Mazrul Hakim said he contacted his sister at Universiti Tenaga Nasional Berhad (Uniten) in Muadzam Shah to inform her on the incident and they then went to lodge a police report at 2.40 am.

Mazrul Hakim, who claimed to suffer bruises on the hands, feet and head in the attack, said he was then been brought to the Muadzam Shah Hospital, where he was admitted for observation.

His eldest sister, Mazita, 34, said on the night of the incident, her youngest sister at Uniten, Nur Mas Idayu, contacted her to inform that she (Nur Mas) received weird text messages from Mazrul Hakim.

"Following which, I tried to call him (Mazrul Hakim) and the school warden since 11.40 pm, but they did not answer the calls," she added.

Mazita said her family was disappointed with the hostel warden and the school principal for not informing them on the incident immediately.

"The warden responded to our message only after 2 am, when my brother was already at the police station," she said.

She claimed that she was also informed by the school that another students had returned the handphone allegedly stolen by her brother.

Mazita also said this was not the first time that her brother complained of being harassed in school.

He is now traumatised by the incident to return to school, she added.
