Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Rhinos were left still looking over their shoulders following a 2-2 tie with KL DRB Hicom in a Premier League match at Proton Tg Malim Stadium, on Friday. The team needs one more point to safeguard its status in the Premier League next season.

On Friday, Rhinos' goalkeeper Rozaimie Rohim acted brilliantly by saving a penalty kick by Ivan Babic after he was fouled by Igor Cerina in the box as early as three minutes into the game.

Babic managed to redeem himself with the opening goal through a beautifully taken free kick in the 40th minute and Sabah were left trailing the home team 1-0 until the end of the first half.

Sabah upped their game at the start of the second half and their effort paid off after Dedi Kusnandar scored the equaliser in the 51st minute.

Cerina's goal in the 83rd minute brought a ray of hope for the visiting team to bring home three points from the match.

But, that hope was short-lived as DRB Hicom's import Kim Jin Ryong made it 2-2 for both teams through a corner kick, minutes before the final whistle.

The Rhinos' next match will be against Pahang Kuantan FA at Likas Stadium on Sept 23 prior to their final home match against Selangor UiTM FC on Oct 21.
