Papar: Running enthusiasts are invited to take part in the inaugural 5K Fun Run organised by Kelab Usahawan Sahabat AIM Blok Lok Kawi on Oct 29.Its President Agnes Totu said the event aims to attract at least 300 participants with the proceeds going to a selected charity home and Sabah Single Mothers Association (Pitsa)."The theme for the run is Run For Fun and Passion, which means to run for fun but with passion for the welfare home and Pitsa," she said.

The club, she said, is very involved with charity organisations and hopes to be able to contribute financially to these organisations so they would be able to undertake their projects more effectively."We are hoping to raise at least RM10,000 from the event," she said.
The 5K Fun Run event will stage at Lok Kawi Community Hall, to be flagged off at 7.30am by the club's patron Datuk Dr. Marcus Mojigoh.Registration begins at 6.30am.

Entry fees are RM50 for ages 17 and up and RM40 for ages between 8 and 16. Each runner will receive a T-shirt, a medal, one bottle of 500ml 100 Plus, a bib or participant's number and a certificate of participation.

There will also be lucky draws for 20 lucky participants.
