Goh/Tan cruise into quarterfinals of Korea Open

Kuala Lumpur: Rio Olympics silver medallists Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong continued their smashing performance by cruising into the quarterfinals of the Korea Open Super Series Badminton Tournament held at the Seong-nam Indoor Stadium in Seoul Thursday.The fifth seeded pair edged Peter Briggs/Tom Wolfenden of England 21-17, 21-16 in their second round men's doubles match, according to the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Super Series website www.bwfworldsuperseries.com.

Another Rio Olympics silver medal winning pair, Chan Peng Soon/Goh Liu Ying also made it to the last eight after disposing Kim Duk Young/Kim Hye Rin of South Korea 21-17, 21-16 in the mixed doubles. – Bernama
