Blaze in RMN interceptor boat injures 5

Semporna: Five members of the Royal Malaysian Navy were injured when fire broke out in an interceptor boat at the KD Sri Semporna jetty here on Friday. According to a media statement issued by the navy, the personnel sustained minor injuries and have been sent to the hospital where they are reported to be in stable condition following the 2.20pm mishap. While confirming the incident, the statement said a small fire occurred when personnel switched on the boat engine in preparation to carry personnel from the jetty to the Tun Sharifah Rodziah sea base for duty exchange.
