Picoms to be made university college early next year

Kuala Lumpur: Pusrawi International College of Medical Sciences (Picoms) would be registered as a university college early next year, said the prime minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. She said she was confident the move would attract more local and international students to further their studies at the institution. "I also believe the effort will be made easy with good infrastructure and facilities, professional teaching staff and competitive study costs," she said in her speech at Picoms' fourth convocation ceremony at the Putra World Trade Centre, here, Thursday.

Rosmah also expressed her pride at the employability of Picoms graduates who managed to secure jobs in both the private and public sectors. "Practise at your workplace all the knowledge you have gained, display high dedication to your employers and do not forget where you've come from," she said, adding that the graduates were now a group of important people who would drive the government's efforts in developing the country. She also praised Picoms' initiatives which focus not only on health sciences but also introducing the hotel and hospitality programmes, saying the move was apt and that such programmes would in high demand from future graduates.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Rosmah presented diploma scrolls to 200 graduates, who were among 1,060 students of the college in various fields including medical science, nursing science, pharmacy and environmental health.
