Lahad Datu: Police here are looking for a local man to facilitate investigations on a murder at a private plantation along Mile 21, Jalan Lahd Datu-Kunak, on Nov 15. District Police Chief ACP Hamzah Ahmad said they are keen on meeting Mohd Juniezam Jumaad (pic) or Umpit, whose last address was Kampung Tagas-Tagas, Lahad Datu.

He said on Nov 15, a plantation owner lodged a police report after the body of a man in his 20s was found in the plantation grounds at about noon.

"Inspection on the body found six gunshot wounds, two to his right chest, one on his left chest, one under his abdomen, one on his right thigh and another one on his left thigh.

"Another wound also found on his head believed caused by a rock or the man could have hit his head on the rock when he fell after being shot," he said.

Hamzah urged those with information on the man's whereabouts to contact 089-881255 or the nearest police station.
