Norhayati was charged under Section 420 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail term of between one and 10 years, and whipping and fine, on conviction.

In another case, two local teenagers, who admitted to having a stolen motorcycle, were placed on a good behaviour bond for two years.

Jessica released Wan Mohd Zuhairi Wan Mokthar and Mohd Sarudin Saidin, both 18 and jobless, on a bail of RM2,000 in one surety each after going through the facts of the case as well as their social reports prepared by the Welfare Department.

Zuhairi and Sarudin confessed to have had one Mohd Faisal Fendy Abdul Rahman's Honda at 2am on Oct 4 at the Penampang by-pass.

They both requested for leniency, promising to change for the better in future.
