Keadilan Wanita Chief Zuraida Kamaruddin is not happy at having been detained and locked alone in a cell for two days, with a CCTV camera watching her, including when having to use the toilet and having to sleep on a concrete bed. "That is definitely sexual harassment for a lady where without doubt men will be monitoring the camera, and I have already filed a complaint to the human rights organisation," the MP for Ampang said.

"The warrant of arrest was dated November 17 but I was arrested at night on the 19th when I found I was considered OYDS (only a suspect, not accused) under 147/511 of the Penal Code."

The charge under investigation was a general one, having made speeches here and there without any specifics such as dates, location or what offences I was supposed to have said or done, she said.

She also said it was unnecessary for the police to arrest her at night "as they could have called me and I will turn up at the police station", she added.

Zuraida was detained following an incident where Redshirt leader Jamal Yunos claimed Zuraida hit him on the nose until it bled at Ampang Point.

She was met joining the candlelight vigil for detained Maria Chin Abdullah at the Street Graffiti Arts Gallery here Sunday night. Zuraida praised Ampang police for doing their job blocking Jamal and his group from harassing her and entourage as she passed Ampang Point.

All the videos showed that we already left the area when someone gave him the red nose and he was shouting "polis pukul saya" which is viral on the media, she said.
