Luxury vehicle mart faces challenging time

Kuala Lumpur: The luxury vehicle market is facing a challenging time now, said Jaguar Land Rover (M) Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Datuk Aishah Ahmad.She said the sales in general had not been great and the total industry volume has gone down by 13.9 per cent."The company expects to sell over 90 Jaguar units in Malaysia this year, almost the same like last year's amid a tough market for luxury cars globally," she told Bernama after the launch of the new Jaguar SUV F-Pace here Wednesday. "With slow economic demand, the company hopes that they continue to buy our cars even though they are on the high end of the pricing list," she said. "Since the company trades in US dollars, we have contingency plans.
