MACC to fly banner at peak of Mt Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu: State Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will fly a campaign banner at the peak of Mount Kinabalu this Saturday to mark this year's State level International Anti-Corruption Day.The banner that promotes to the public to break the corruption chain will be flown by five State MACC officers and two rangers.

Happening also on the same day will be an anti-corruption cycling event involving 300 participants from cycling clubs who will cycle a distance of 15km around the city, while a carnival will take place in Sandakan jointly organised by the commission and local agencies.

The closing ceremony of the events will be held on December 9 which programmes include sketches, youth presentations, martial art demonstration and a lucky draw.

The commission said in a statement that the objective of the programmes are to build closer relationship with the public so as to instill greater awareness on the need to curb corruption.
