RTD offers compound reduction

Kuala Lumpur: The Road Transport Department (RTD) offers a reduced rate on compound for road users who were caught driving without valid licences and those with expired licences. RTD in a statement today said the compound reduction from the maximum RM300 was offered in stages for those who committed the offences. "Under Section 26 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, drivers and motorcyclists found driving or riding without a driving licence or with expired licence, can be fined a maximum of RM300.
