92 golfers tee off in SGCC Junior Open

Kota Kinabalu: It was an overwhelming response as 92 junior golfers teed off at the 15th Sabah Golf and Country Club (SGCC) Junior Open on Wednesday.SGCC President Datuk Peter Khoo who was present at the opening round to give encouragement and support to the players said the tournament is part of their long-term plan to groom young boys and girls, and he was glad to see the positive turnout.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The three-day competition will also open the door to up and coming players to claim the title with the absence of the more experience Casper Loh, Eldrick Chong and Christopher who are on duty for the State in the SGA Cup in Kuching.ADVERTISEMENT The opening day was full of excitement and fun for the juniors and their parents with the staging of many skill events such as longest drive, putting and short game competitions, pro talks and clinics to help them play better as well as a special event for novice players to develop their confidence and interest.
