Sabah take two-point lead

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah need only five points from the 12 singles matches today (Thursday) to retain the SGA Cup after they took a two-point advantage going into the final rounds today leading Sarawak by 13-11.It was an intense battle for both teams on day two as they drew 6-6 in the reversed four-ball and foursome matches.Sabah's three points in the morning four-ball session came from Hillary Tan and Eldrick Chong who went 1-up against Lim Beng Keat and Lee Ka Chun followed by Alex Lau and Fazley Chua, also 1-up over Lee Ka Tung and John Ling and the pair of Sheo Wei Meng and Brandon Lai with 2 and 1 against Ariel Teo and Malcom Ting.

The afternoon session saw Alex Lau and Fazley Chua going 2-up against Lee Ka Ming. Casper Loh and Christopher delivered the second point with a 2 and 1 victory over John Ling and Bernard Yeo with the third point contributed by Mohd Zariq and Albright Chong with 2 and 1 score against Lau Ching Leong and Albert Loh.
