FCAS gets more support over CNY Carnival, Gathering

Kota Kinabalu: More Chinese community leaders in the State are coming forward to financially support the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) in organising its Chinese New Year Carnival and Chinese New Year Gathering.Among them were real estate developer Datuk Francis Goh, who is also the President of Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers' Association (Shareda), and Datuk Sia Yang Wei, who is Honorary Advisor of FCAS.
Both Francis and Chia also accepted the invitation to grace the two occasions during a courtesy call on them by the FCAS Central Committee led by its President Datuk Seri Panglima T.C. Goh.

They also had a constructive discussion on various pressing issues concerning the country, in particular the current economic situation.
Also present during the courtesy calls were FCAS Vice President Datuk Chua Soon Ping, its Treasurer General Fung Chun Fatt and Central Committee members Ng Young Wah, Kapitan Peter Ma and Tan Guan Hock.
The 2017 Chinese New Year Carnival, which is being jointly organised by FCAS and City Hall (DBKK), will be held at the Padang Merdeka from January 23 to 26.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman will officiate at the opening ceremony while the closing ceremony will be officiated by Datuk Teo Chee Kang, the Minister of Special Tasks.

As for the Chinese New Year Gathering, it will be held on the 5th day (Feb 1) of the Chinese New Year, at the Wisma Hakka Banquet Hall, which will also be officiated by the Chief Minister.
