S'wakian claims trial to Syabu trafficking

Kota Kinabalu: A 32-year-old stage technician claimed trial in the High Court here Monday to trafficking 664.9gm of syabu.Andy Lim Shau Seng, who was brought before Judge Datuk Nurchaya Arshad, pleaded not guilty to committing the offence at 4.30pm on Aug 29, 2016 in front of Kedai Fook Yuen along Gaya Street here.The court set four days for trial beginning March 3, this year.ADVERTISEMENT Lim of Sarawak faces the death sentence if convicted under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.Deputy Public Prosecutor Wan Farrah Farriza Wan Ghazali prosecuted while Lim was represented by counsel Cedric Choo.Meanwhile, in the Magistrate's Court, a man was fined RM7,000 or 20 months' jail for having 5.5gm of syabu.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
