Some bee species are known to cause painful stings and some stings can even lead to death, like in 2014 when almost an entire family was reported to have been killed by a swarm of huge bees after they accidentally disturbed a beehive in Sarawak. The beehive found in a tree located close to the home in Kampung Melati, Beaufort.
