Kota Kinabalu: MCA President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai is leaving it to the voters of Kapayan to choose the better assemblyman to represent them in the State Assembly. He said they would have to choose between Sabah MCA's Kapayan candidate choice Datuk Francis Goh or Dr Edwin Bosi who is the present Kapayan Assemblyman. Liow said while the MCA choice, Goh, already started working although yet to be the elected representative, the Sabah DAP choice, Dr Bosi, already admitted he was not able to do anything after three years being the assemblyman. ADVERTISEMENT "I saw the statement made by Dr Bosi today (Tuesday) in the Daily Express where he admitted he can't do anything as the opposition and can only be a watchdog for 'check and balance' on the government." "But Goh is not an assemblyman yet and holds no government positions so which one would the voters choose?" asked Liow, adding that the voters should be wise enough to vote for Goh in the upcoming election to allow him to continue serving them. Liow said this during the opening of the first MCA Kapayan Timor branch office under the MCA Penampang Division here on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wee said he was confident that Goh would be given a full minister portfolio if he was elected due to his experience in business and being a successful entrepreneur. Kapayan Timor comprises 60 per cent Chinese voters and has been the opposition's stronghold for some time.
