Ranau: Parti Warisan Sabah will ensure that the people of Sabah have a better future if it wins the coming general election (GE) in Sabah, said its President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal."After over 50 years of living under the Barisan Nasional (BN) governance, it seemed that the people of Sabah have become the worst to suffer as wealth from the State is being plundered to make the states in West Malaysia prosper.

"Sabah is supposed to be a country that is rich with revenue from oil, tourism, plantation and many other industries. But today we see that we are still way behind other states in the peninsula.

"It is not that we are to hate the people in the peninsula, but on the contrary, we despise the system implemented by Federal which always put the interests of Sabahans last," he said.

Towards that end, if the people vote for Warisan in GE14, Shafie said the party will demand for the rights of Sabahans to be upheld by the Federal Government so that the people will get all the revenues that are rightly theirs.

Shafie, who is also Semporna MP, was speaking when officiating the Jelajah Parti Warisan Sabah 2017 that was held at the Kimara Hall Lohan Resthouse in Kg Lohan Ranau, Saturday, which was attended by about 300 supporters.

Meanwhile, he said Parti Warisan Sabah is a party for all Sabahans regardless of their religious or ethnic background, and it will fight to improve the standard of living of all people in the State.

Also present were Warisan vice presidents Datuk Jaujan Sambakong and Datuk Peter Anthony, Secretary-General Loretto S Padua Jr, Treasurer Terence Siambung, Sabah Wira Chief Datuk Aziz Jamman, Warisan Coordinator for Paginatan, Markus Situn, Warisan Coordinator for Kundasang, Siriman Basir, Warisan Coordinator for Karanaan, Yazid Shajinan and others. - Clarence George Dol
