S'kan school Pasaria on April 8-9

Sandakan: The SM Sung Siew school board, in collaboration with the school's benefactors, Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) and Alumni Association, will be organising a Pasaria on Apr 8 and 9 in conjunction with the school's 110th anniversary.During a press conference here, Tuesday, organising chairman Vun Soon Chong said the theme of the celebration will be 'Celebrate 110 Years of Blessing' and will be officiated by Elopura Assemblyman Datuk Au Kam Wah.He said other than celebrating the school's anniversary, the event also aims to raise RM300,000 in funds to build a Student Activity Centre on the site adjoining the school's grandstand.

The school is one of the oldest schools established by Basel Christian Church of Malaysia (BCCM) in 1907. It was part and parcel of the church and built to meet the needs of the children of the church's early members although it had always been open to other students regardless of race and religion.Sales of coupon and request for sponsorship and donations of goods for the Pasaria will start on Feb 20.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
