'No factions in Sabah Umno'
Kota Kinabalu: Penampang Umno said Sabah DAP should stop provoking Sabah Umno by insinuating that the party is divided into factions with each group having their respective candidates eyeing for the Chief Minister's post.Penampang Umno Chief Datuk John Ambrose (pic) said Sabah Umno is united under is Liaison Chief-cum- Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.

"Sabah DAP advisor Jimmy Wong seems to be a good news manufacturer when he said it is widely rumoured that Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak, supposedly the 'blue-eyed boy' of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, hopes to occupy the CM seat.

"And Jimmy keep on spinning when he further suggested that Musa hopes Datuk Anifah Aman, his brother, would be given the chance.

Ambrose said Jimmy is trying hard to deflect the problems besetting DAP by letting his imagination run wild to attack Umno Sabah.

"For his information, Sabah Umno is strong and united. Of course in every political party, there will be differences but when it comes to the crunch, everyone will toe the line and accept the decision of the party's top leadership.

That's the spirit of Umno," he said.

Ambrose said he believed Jimmy is feeling jittery as the general election is near and DAP Sabah has lost its shine, with the national DAP also having many problems of its own.

"With many new local opposition parties being set up, DAP Sabah seems to have lost itself in the crowd.

The next general election will be a joy to watch as the many local opposition parties will try to outdo each other.

It will be like a killing field.

"The disunity and fight for supremacy in the opposition front will certainly benefit BN, with Umno as the backbone, as the people want stability and a government that can perform and bring development.

BN and Umno have a proven track record unmatched by the opposition. The people will not fall into the opposition's trap," he said.

"Jimmy's propaganda to cause friction in Sabah Umno will not work," said Ambrose.

He said at a recent event in Kota Belud, Salleh had openly voiced his support for Musa's leadership, thus rubbishing any suggestion by Jimmy that Salleh is eyeing the CM's post.

He said Jimmy's advice to Salleh to focus his attention on how to help develop Sabah and uplift the standard of living of Sabahans, particularly his people in Kota Belud, is another example of the KK MP's childishness.

"Salleh has been working hand in hand with Musa and other BN leaders in helping the people, not only in Kota Belud but also other areas to develop the State," he said.

Ambrose said he finds it comical when Jimmy cautioned Salleh to refrain from meddling in the affairs of other political parties.

"When Jimmy can spin stories about Umno Sabah, why can't Salleh or any other BN leaders comment on the departure of four DAP YBs in Melaka?

"And Jimmy can continue to dream when he say the departure of the four lawmakers is a matter to be resolved by the party. Let me tell him, there is nothing for DAP to resolve anymore.

Once they are gone, they are gone for good. One of the four has been with DAP for some 35 years and yet quit.

Do you think he is quitting for fun and return with three others to DAP? Well, Jimmy can continue his dream," said Ambrose.
