Four charged with raping girl, 15, at Kg Nambazan

Kota Kinabalu: Four men were jointly charged in the Sessions Court on Tuesday with four counts of raping a 15-year-old girl last year.Sharul Azmizan Kimlin, 25, Hasnan Barudin, 26, Shabeneh Kesran, 44, and Zulfadzly Abd Rahman, 25, pleaded not guilty before Judge Ainul Shahrin Mohamad.They claimed trial to the charge after it was read to them.

On the first to third count, the four are accused of raping the underaged girl between 1pm and 1.20pm on May 15, 2016 at a house in Kg Nambazan, Penampang.On the fourth count, they allegedly raped the same girl at 6am on May 15, 2016 at the same place.If found guilty under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, they will face imprisonment of up to 20 years and whipping.Ainul fixed July 17-18 this year for hearing and ordered them remanded further following an objection from the prosecution.
