Kota Kinabalu: Sabah KDMM FC are facing an uphill task in their FAM Cup Group A match against KL MOF FC at the Keningau Stadium this afternoon (Sunday) at 4.15pm.Despite playing at home, the sole Sabah representative in the third tier league this season may find it hard to get a good result after they were hammered 4-0 by the same opponents in the FA Cup competition held in Likas Stadium last month.

The two teams were also in the same group last season where KDMM FC lost 1-0 away and drew 2-2 at home.

KDMM FC are currently at the bottom of the table with two losses and yet to find the net while their opponents are in second place with six points.

Club President Datuk Peter Anthony hoped the goal drought will end today and the team will get a positive result.

"There is no reason to admit defeat even though we lost to them in the FA Cup. It should motivate the players to play even better and try to avenge the earlier defeat.

"The team has shown some improvement since the start of the season and the players also worked hard in training. I hope to see the team score tomorrow and get the desired result," he said on Saturday. – GL Oh
