Johari receives courtesy call from Irish finance minister

Putra Jaya: Second Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, has received a courtesy call from Irish Finance Minister, Michael Noonan, at the ministry here Wednesday.In a statement, the Finance Ministry said the ministers exchanged views on the current state of the economies of both countries, discussed challenges of the global economy, as well as new economic opportunities such as the digital economy.

Also present at the one-hour meeting were Ireland Ambassador to Malaysia Eamon Hickey, Ireland Department of Finance Secretary-General Derek Moran, Finance Minister's Adviser Mary Kenny, Private Secretary Justin Dolan and Embassy of Ireland to Malaysia Deputy Head of Mission Julita Gallagher. – Bernama
