PBRS queries the frequent fires

Kota Kinabalu: Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) is upset by the frequent fire outbreaks in Likas and urged the authority to investigate the cause of the latest incident on Tuesday and come out with a solution to prevent any recurrence. Some 45 houses were destroyed in the morning fire in a squatter colony at Kampung Muhibbah Likas. Despite three fire trucks with 44 firefighters including 13 auxiliary personnel from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station being speedily dispatched to the area following a distress call, around 288 people from the 45 families lost their belongings. PBRS said it believed the authority would help our citizens whenever they are in difficulties because that is the trademark of Barisan Nasional government in Sabah headed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman. Meanwhile, Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Jainab Ahmad handed over Welfare Department donations to some 55 families who were left homeless after fire destroyed their homes at Kampung Muhibbah in Likas, on Tuesday.
