Training will be held daily from 9am until 6pm at two venues – Sutera Harbour Marina Club here and Kampung Gayang, Tuaran.
This was decided after the first technical meeting of the organising committee chaired by Datuk Susan Wong and attended by race director Datuk Balwant Singh Kler, assistant race director Zachary Mobijohn and vice organising chairman Fung Chun Fatt, among others.
The heats will be held at Likas Bay on May 13 with the finals scheduled to take place on May 14 and it will be graced by Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, accompanied by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
Among the trophies to be contested in this year's race are the Head of State's Trophy, the Chief Minister's Trophy, the Sabah FCAS Dragon Trophy, the FCAS Trophy and the Kinabalu Dragon Trophy which offer attractive prizes for winners.
