PPBM officially joins Pakatan Harapan

Kuala Lumpur: Pakatan Harapan officially accepted Monday Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) as its fourth component party.The federal Opposition coalition's presidential council meeting, which was held at the Opposition Leader's office at Parliament, also decided to register Pakatan as a coalition.PPBM, a Bumiputera-centric party, is led by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and former Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, in their joint statement, also said that a new manifesto will be created for the coalition.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

"The meeting has agreed to discuss with all four parties to form a new joint manifesto and also a logo," they said.Dr Mahathir previously stressed that the federal Opposition needs to contest as a formal coalition in order to take on the ruling Barisan Nasional in the next general elections, due by mid next year.
