52 players compete in 1st leg of STA junior tournament

Sandakan: The first leg of the STA (Sabah Tennis Association) junior tournament held in Sandakan recently attracted a total of 52 players.The tournament was sponsored by Mark Pang Ka Miew and the top three winners in each of the four categories held were Azllien Natasha, Nur Atiqah Aquilah Wahidir and Fazlliwati in the girls Under-16, Hiew Kee Jun, Luke Alfred Guansing with Ahmad Izzudin Sapri and Kelvaraj Singh joint third in the boys Under-16, Hiew Kee Jun, Luke Alfred Guansing, Ryan Chee/Darius Wong, Kelvaraj Singh/Ahmad Izzudin Sapri in the boys Under-18 doubles, Ngui Larm and Jonathan Chan as top two winners in the boys Under-16 loser pool.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Sabah coach Tito Latoja was the tournament director assisted by Herman Abdullah, Sebestian Wong, Donald Lee, Jeannie Koh, Susan Wong and other officials.
