Kota Kinabalu: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) lecturer Azlinah Matawali bagged the Best Presenter Award during the recently concluded International Conference on Natural Product 2017 recently. The event was organised by the Malaysia Natural Product Society and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris at the Swiss Garden Resort in Perak. Azlinah, who is a lecturer at the Science and Technology Prep Centre, beat 84 presenters from various universities in Malaysia and also Indonesia and Brunei.

"I did not expect to win this as the competition was among experienced researchers from research universities. "I presented the c. odotora or 'Pokok Kapal Terbang' which is crucial in cancer treatment," she said.
