Three men found positive on drugs arrested

Kota Kinabalu: Three unemployed Kadazan men were arrested after they were found positive for substance abuse and in possession of drugs in front of a tyre premises at Sadong Jaya, here, Friday. The trio, aged between 40 and 43, were initially spotted behaving suspiciously inside a Perodua Kancil vehicle by the city narcotics team about 11.10am. The team ordered them to pull over and to step out of the vehicle, prompting the three men to attempt fleeing but were subsequently apprehended by the police.

City Police Chief ACP M. Chandra on Saturday said nothing offensive was found on the three men during body inspections. However, further checks on the vehicle led to the discovery of a candy box containing two transparent plastic packets.One of the packets contained 2.74 grammes of dried weed, later identified as ganja, and 5.10 grammes of syabu in the other packet.
