Justin hopes break will help

Kota Kinabalu: Coach Justin Ganai hopes the brief break will help the State under-21 squad to turn things around and win their first match of the season at the expense of T-Team in their President Cup tie at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium today (Thursday).The league had a 21-day break since March 9 where Sabah lost 1-2 to league leaders Negri Sembilan at the Likas Stadium.In the earlier two matches played, they only managed to draw with PKNS and PKNP FC, and with the two points collected, they are currently lying in 8th place in Group B.

Justin said the results could have been better if the players had taken their chances."We were definitely the better team, especially in the first two matches. We were in control and created a lot of chances but just failed to find the net. You may say it was unlucky but I think we should be more clinical in our finishing with the opportunities given."I hope the brief break will help the players to find their scoring boots. We are all working hard to rectify the problems and in our two friendly matches against the senior team and the Under-19 squad during the break, the team played very well and even managed to score against the seniors, so hopefully it will come good tomorrow," he said, Wednesday.According to him, he will have a full squad for the match against the team in fourth place with five points from one win and two draws.
