42 Filipino illegals held in op

Kota Kinabalu: A total of 93 Filipinos and Indonesians were screened during an integrated operation led by city police at seven locations in and around Telipok, Manggatal, Inanam and the city centre here, Friday. Of the figure, 42 paperless Filipinos comprising 16 men, 11 women, eight girls and seven boys were detained, while four others were arrested for substance abuse. The close to 10-hour operation, which ended about 10.30am, involved three officers and 89 personnel who raided rented premises, squatter settlements and a construction site at Kolombong. City Police Chief ACP M.
