Sabah take fourth spot at Para Swimming C'ship

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah finished fourth in the MSN/Asum/Milo Para-Swimming championship 2017 which was held at the Gunung Keriang Aquatic Centre in Alor Setar, Kedah from April 16-22.They came back with seven gold, five silver and 12 bronze medals. The medallists were Louis Simun (category S9 - three golds, three bronzes); Jaison Pengiran (category S10 - one gold three bronzes); Tanis Gomburing (category S9 - one silver, two bronzes); Lee Seng Yi (category S8 - one bronze); Chia Faang Jann (category S4 - one gold, four silvers, three bronzes); Brenda Larry (category S3 - two golds).The 10-member team was led by coaches Eva Wong and Casey Chong.ADVERTISEMENT Evan said the main goal was to select swimmers and coaches to represent Malaysia in the upcoming Asean Para Games in Kuala Lumpur."The competition was also to search for new talent to participate in the Asian Youth Para Games 2017 in Dubai.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
