Mr Sabah: Police out to defend overall title

Kota Kinabalu: Police are ready to defend their overall title in the Mr. Sabah Championship 2017 title which will take place at Dewan Mustapha, here on Saturday.Team manager DSP Yampil Garai who received the Royal Malaysia Police flag from Sabah Police Commissioner Dato' Ramli Din during a ceremony held in Kepayan on Wednesday said they are targeting three gold medals in the competition.

"We will be sending a 15-member team this year and half of them are new faces.

"The boys have been training very hard and our target is to win three gold medals and I hope they can achieve that and also to defend our overall title again."

Yampil who is also one of the judges in the competition said last year's champion of champions winner Mohd Riduan Kassim is to lead the challenge while the rest of the team members are Mohd Amiruddin Arshad, Mohd Asyraf Akmal Abdullah, Zainuddin Awang, George Saligi, Davey @ Mohd Najid Zamri, Pitohdoni Galawis, Aloysius Jaimon @ George, Mohd Rizal, Nordin Hasaan, Andrew Bob Anak Singun, Lok Siew Kee, Abd Rahim Atin, Chang Tian Hock and Reani Engah.

Also in the team are ASP Michale Gibral who is the technical official and two other judges Hasan Lahamih and Jumain Sappe. – GL Oh
