Keningau: District Officer Yusop Othman said he was misquoted in a report which attributed him as saying that Tourism Tax will be collected in Keningau from July 1. Yusop said although the tax was due to be enforced at that date, at the moment media reports have stated that it would only be applicable in the peninsula. He said any decision on whether it would be implemented in the State, or in Keningau for that matter, would have to be a State Cabinet decision.
