THIS is a windfall story.

Unexpected good fortune, completely unexpected gain that befell three teenage girls from the poorest of families, the poorest isolated villages in Sabah but somehow, they were picked for an all expenses paid three-week trip to attend school in Australia.

But in this short and sweet first part of two series, we'll keep the drivers or masterminds behind this story, a mystery.

Instead, we'll just play pictures from the dream trip of these three unsung Ulu Orang Sungei girls who are still in Australia and are being treated with great honour and favour well above historical norms – reaping the huge benefit from a seed that was sown by people who are long dead!

Meet Fifth Form grad, Agnes Jackson, of hinterland Kampung Monopod Sugut, Beluran.

Meet also Suzie binti Saitor, of Kampung Kuamut, upper Kinabatagan.

Last but not least, meet Genvia binti Handry, of Tongod, considered the centre of Sabah.

The trio share a common background – their parents all earn less than RM500 income a year!

No hope of any future like this without a dramatic godsend intervention.

We'll leave that to a special report on the mysterious godsend intervention to the second part of this series next Sunday.
