900 vacancies offered at carnival

Ranau: More than 900 vacancies were offered by various agencies and private companies during the Ranau Mini Expo and Jobs Carnival 2017 held at the Ranau Community Hall, here, Monday.State Resource Development and Information Technology Minister Datuk Siringan Gubat said the programme offered a good opportunity for youths in the district to gain employment."With the high number of jobs offered, we hope the unemployment rate here will be reduced tremendously," he said.

Siringan, who is also Paginatan Assemblyman, said the programme was not meant to discourage youths to seek jobs overseas."We want those who prefer working in Sabah to grab the opportunity provided in this carnival.
